Yeah, sadly I no longer send or receive Christmas cards but have a few old ones in the drawer gathering dust. The stanza where your subject nicks the postman's sack made me laugh out loud. Great fun and well penned.

Re: Safe Snuggled in my Cottage Nook

Well penned and very atmospheric. Some constructive criticism if I may......I believe the use of the word 'stumbling' as a descriptor for the clouds is dissonant and ineffective (do clouds really stumble?). I suggest that the loss of internal rhyme in that line would be amply compensated by a more a...

I don't pretend to understand the title (but would be interested to find out) and am somewhat bemused by some lines, probably because of my ignorance but.....wow....that last stanza is AWESOME. Some basic tenets of Zen perfectly expressed there. Truly, there can be no judgement of what is good and b...

Shades of Pink Floyd's Brick in the Wall. 'We don't need no ejacashun!....' OK. I should get serious. There is a real theme about meanness here. Perhaps I detect the voice of a boy who suffered, as I did, at the hand of some teachers who liked corporal punishment a bit much?
