Some editors can be cruel to writers and some do not even acknowledge receiving a manuscript. If you have a Writing Center where you live, they can be helpful. Although as Stella comments publish it yourself as quite a few authors are doing this now. Good luck with it Steven!

I must admit Stella I did wonder why the poem reads 'as if it lifted our skirts' as I imaged the tree to be two lovers (a male and a female) because of the sensuality used and other images used in the first stanza.
