Yes one small drop in the ocean causes ripples that flow outwardly and change everything in their path. We have no control over the effects of one small happening that we might not have even noticed happen.... A lovely thought written in free verse which can often be more expressive than strict form...

sometimes it's difficult to be a purist, especially with Japanese forms Colleen , so i would advise you to stick to the 57577 form which most English speaking poets use :)

There is something about writing sonnets that becomes addictive, you even begin to think in iambic pentameter lol; but oh the joy in writing one as lovely as this :) :) :)

Hi Colleen, i think it must be the American/British different way of displaying numbers; in Britain the 10th July would 10/7 and i have a feeling it is the other way round in USA...i hope you had a lovely day anyway :D

A beautiful Rispetto prayer Shelley.

I enjoyed the "Rainbow coloured skies" in the opening line, it set the theme for the whole poem as we do look to the skies for inspiration.. :)
