I love the lines "mutated by deep and silent soaking" - perfect image. A deep and soothing poem. And as always, beautiful.

If I Could Name It

If I could name it That I would But somehow it's not there Just like snowflakes on the tongue Or a breeze that lifts the hair Just the briefest vision Like lightning in the sky A shape that's always changing Right before the eye It is close, but far away Like the minute just before Beside this very ...

Re: Poetry don't sell

Very entertaining and fun to read. I don't think many people are interested in poetry, unless they write it. Then there are the different styles. Some are picky as to which style they want to read. So, I guess it's even a hard sell sometimes within the poetry community. It certainly seems that way a...

Re: After All

This poem feels inviting and warm. Thoughts of loved ones and friends can never be far at Christmas. Embracing their memories makes the holidays richer and more vibrant. Like hanging more baubles on the tree or adding another string of lights. May the faces of those you lost shine in your memory thi...

Re: “Good Morning”

I love this. It's very beautiful. Usually, the last line in a poem sticks out to me. I seem to have a thing for last lines or stanzas, but this time it was the first line. "The forest awakens to tingle-touch" - it really grabbed my attention. It's absolutely perfect.

Re: Brush and Bow

Yes, this is so beautiful. It's quite fascinating how the arts intersect, even with nature. I know a piece composed by Yanni called "one Man's Dream" (I believe). It's thrilling to watch a storm while listening to it. The music moves with the tree tops and sweeps away with the drifting sno...

Grandfather Mountain

Re: The Poet’s Garden

I love this. I really do feel that poetry is like a garden or forest. I even wrote a poem called "To The Poet" describing the forest. Although, I haven't placed it on this site yet. Perhaps, I should. It's on Poetfreak. Some may have read it, but oh well. I may do that.

Re: Leaning Forward

It's hard driving in rain like that. About as bad as thick fog. We were driving in fog one day, when suddenly it got so thick we could barely see past the front of the car. It was the slowest I ever seen my husband drive. We were getting nowhere. It felt very clausterphobic for me. And, there was on...
