How many people must perish,
to see that a city's bleeding?
how many people must hunger,
to see that a city's needing?

How many children must witness,
to see that a marriage is dying?
how many children must suffer,
to see that their mothers crying?

How many dreams must fade away,
by deception and a lie?
how many goals are beaten down,
no matter how hard they try?

How many minds must we defeat,
by ignorance and decay?
how many souls must lose it all,
to never find their way?

How many hearts must we destroy,
by what we have said and done?
and how many bodies must break?
the answer my friends, is one.
