Just For You Poetry

You left time behind
Lying there like fallen leaves
Moments that crunch beneath my feet
Reminding me I walk alone

So much time between you and me
But winter is coming
That day will arrive when
I too will close my eyes in the blinding white
And open them to eternal spring

Plant me daffodils
As you wait.
