deep blue
searching eyes
just steal my heart
each time they find me
they leave me overwhelmed
and transfixed in each moment
would if I could but turn from you
I would run fast to safe night shadows
yet you see through the window of my soul
I feel you kindling love’s flame to burn there
its warmth glows and I am drawn to you
my heartbeats become much too fast
without words we know the truth
this yearning grows so bright
the flame burns stronger
each time you steal
