I'll Be Coming Home Again

I'll be coming home again
I'll walk that gravel lane
Between the waving fields of wheat
Come mountain, sea, or pain

Where dew drops string themselves like pearls
Along each blade of grass
And crickets sing sweet lullabies
As balmy breezes pass

Where my wishes wait for me
And all my dreams come true
In languid, lazy afternoons
That's where I will find you

I long to hear the bobwhite's call
To hear the whippoorwill
To walk beside you, hand in hand
Where roses blossom still

When all my toil here is done
I will be on my way
Yes, I'll be coming home again
And this time I will stay.
