Just For You Poetry

I give thanks,
on this Thanksgiving;
for love that's spread,
for joy of living;
for happiness that
lurks nearby,
for sweet whispers,
and longing sighs;
for peace that comes,
in little pieces;
for love that's kind,
and never ceases;
for sun and shadow,
wind and rain;
for songs and laughter,
that keeps me sane;
for views upon
a mountain's top;
for memories that
never stop;
for kindness given,
without return;
for lessons taught,
and lessons learned;
for nature's charm,
and heaven's skies;
when speaking truth,
omitting lies;
for family and for,
all my friends;
for bonds that bind,
and never ends.
