Still

Postby Tom Balch » Mon Dec 14, 2015 10:20 pm

Still

Still sets two places, but he
Sits all alone in silence
Sifting through a microwave dinner,
Single portion… not eating, just picking
Sifting through the papers, not reading, just
Sits staring, he really misses her…
Still hating the cancer that took her.

Tom,
Having to write about the loss of one's life, the one you loved, is most difficult. Sometimes it seems as if it always will be. I can feel the hurt.

One can really feel the loss in your words. A very moving poem.

A poignant piece Tom. A reminder that cancer has no favourites and no friends.
