Tree is gone

Four marks in the carpet
Where the Christmas tree stood
It's January, the angel on the top
Put away till next
Now the room is guarded
Hers on the left mine on the right
The family photos of our parents
That's why it's the family room

Long gone but always looking down

There is always an emptiness once the tree comes down and family photos are not always uplifting Rick.

They are not allowed in my living room anymore.. only pictures of happy grandchildren to replace the tree :D

There does seem to be a let down after Christmas is over, even before the decorations are all stashed away. I also have very little photos hanging on my wall. I've grown tired of photos. They grow old too fast and need to be replaced with current ones. I told my husband I want something different on on the wall. Maybe a couple of grids to hang current photos on with clips. We could change them easily that way. My favorite idea is something that looks like telephone lines between poles with a few birds perched on them, since I have so many bird figurines sitting around. Then clip the photos up among the birds. Photos can be taken one weekend and appear there the next that way. It would be ever-changing. I think the grandkids would love looking for new pictures of themselves every time they came over. Ahh, I can dream anyway. Maybe it will happen. :-)

Never did I realize there was such a gender gap about family photos very interesting we have had port rate photos of my parents and my wife's setting out for years and years Stella and Cindy, do you have issues with your parents ?
