Just For You Poetry

What are these candidates about?
they use foul language and they shout;
what has happened to our courtesy?
(did it start with you or me!?)

All persons running have great flaws,
they ignore their own great laws;
boasting of what they do not know,
it's entertainment, a minstrel show.

I pray for this sad, wayward nation,
that has lost its own great station;
thinking man can find his way,
as far from God, they always stray.

Thinking they can fix what's wrong,
they play the same old stupid song;
finding out too late and too much later,
they've turned their backs on their Creator.

The Word tells us, just what to follow,
everything else just rings out hollow;
we're arrogant and we're not nice,
now comes the time...to pay the price.

Too true..... we have been waylaid by hapless indifference and power-mad, politically-correct clowns. Time for concerned citizens to stop this nonsense. Nicely-written reminder for us to do something about it. Thank you.

This is so true. Who would have imagined the likes of such behavior many years ago? It's very sad. Good poem.
