I want to read a yummy book
Confections are preferred
I want to savour every thought
Each sentiment and word
I want to read a tasty script
All gooey and sublime
Or concepts crisp with salty-sweet
A figment doused in rhyme
I want to read
Right now, I'll read
Because I've got the time

Or several, if I can
A stack of dreamy morsels...
There's nothing better than
I want to read, I have a yen
For seasoned synonyms
Or metaphors...all piping hot
And circumstantial whims
I want to read
Right now, I'll read
My sustenance begins

I want to read a yummy book
I want to wolf it down
Devour every luscious page
Verb, adjective, and noun
I want to read...I'm ravenous
For paragraphs devine
On every shelf, a grand buffet
The endless choice is mine
I want to read
Right now, I'll read
Excuse me while I dine.
