Praise poem #7

Lord, from You, all good things flow,
we praise your name, for all your gifts;
protect us in the hour of need,
from all external hurts and rifts.
Shelter us from wayward leanings,
that crop up from time to time;
keep us safe from earthly charms,
from the pettiness of crime.
Build in us a sense of pleasure,
in the thoughts of You alone;
let us sing the songs of joy,
and from our sins...atone.
Grant us grace from all intrusions,
that only interfere with You;
let our sleep be always peaceful,
the whole and long night through.
Father, thank you, for all blessings,
that You share with all Your flock;
I pray that I will see tomorrow,
by the tick of heaven's clock.
