Just For You Poetry

We weren't meant to live forever,
here today and gone tomorrow;
Father Time pulls his great lever,
enter now, the grief and sorrow.
Life's sweet blossom fades away,
gone to soon, the easy breath;
be thankful for this gifted day
that does not end in your own death.
Sing a song of praise for living,
and celebrate this day of life;
mark the days with much forgiving,
grasp the peace that subdues strife.
What we had will end forever,
oh, yet a piece of us remains;
for those we loved forget us never,
as their own time quickly wanes.
Memories...they last a lifetime,
the good we do... will never die;
and like the poetry we rhyme,
it won't be gone with our last sigh.

So true David and we are remembered for the good and kindness we showed in our short time here..
