Just For You Poetry

I wish that I were miles away
from the world and all its strife
where peace flows like a river
and there's no hate in life

where happiness is constant
where war is just unknown
and silence is enough
for all the life I've known

I wish that I were miles away
from the world and all the madness
where death is non-existent
where there isn't any sadness

where pollution has no place
where the air is clean and sweet
and strangers are but friends
that you have yet to meet

I wish that I were miles away
from the clutches of the mind
that seek to drive one crazy
my world's a different kind

Let me fly away forever
where the sun shines endlessly
and gaze from there, at earth
to see what I can see

I love this. I know the feeling so well. I find the poem very soothing to read.

I too know this feeling David, we once had a beautiful , peaceful world and yet those among us have polluted and destroyed it in the most ugly manner imaginable.If only wishes could be made to come true..
