Light ~ a trijan refrain

One Sunday morn the sun came out
and radiant did glow
the sparkling stream without a doubt
spun gemstones in its flow
the willow wept in ecstasy
and then i saw what it could be
the willow wept
the willow wept
her own reflection she could see.

By noon the sun had climbed so high
birds rested in the trees
silence reigned there was ne’er a sigh
‘cept for the hum of bees
the roses blushed as they unfurled
and in the breeze leaves tossed and twirled
the roses blushed
the roses blushed
innocent petals to the world.

When twilight came the sun had set
only stars lit the sky
willow and rose asleep but yet
something else caught my eye
the tall grass swayed it quivered gold
and even though the night was cold
the tall grass swayed
the tall grass swayed
it rippled freely uncontrolled.

This is a wonderful trijan refrain! You painted a lovely picture. I fell in love with this poetry form on all poetry. A fellow there who goes by Esebius often uses this form. He describes his poetry as Victorian. The trijan refrain works well with his Victorian style. Yours is very beautiful, Stella.
