Sunset—
ribbons of color at
sunset
as sun slowly slips into horizon,
twilight’s curtain softly begins to fall;
moon and stars start to glow in darkened sky,
ribbons of color at
sunset.

Twilight
shadows and light of
twilight
silently falling with the setting sun
in peacefulness that’s calming to the soul
before canvas of darkness chases away
shadows and light of
twilight.

Sundown,
everything goes dark at
sundown;
a quiet time of prayerful reflection
as day comes to its end and evening falls
when a hush seems to mark day’s passing as
everything goes dark at
sundown.

Evening,
darkness falls in
evening;
twilight ends in an ocean of starlight,
the moon showers its veil on earth below
while stargazers watch opening show when
darkness falls in
evening.
