Just For You Poetry

You're the beauty time has shaped,
the painting that now lives;
in wild and changing color,
that only nature gives.
You're the awe-inspiring view,
that takes my breath away;
looking deep into your depths,
I feel my body sway.
A sudden surge of vertigo,
I step in backward motion;
with a fleeting swan-dive image,
such a silly, foolish notion.
I see the river far below,
it's serpentine and slow;
the color green and white,
foam-flecked in its flow.
You're the land that time's forgot,
splendid, vast and grand;
a monument to God's great touch,
within this western land.

I've been to the Grand Canyon. It's breathtaking and beautiful. You've done a great job writing a poem about it.

I've never been, but would love to go. You're poem is inspirational!
