Just For You Poetry

There are times, like now,
when the summer sun is setting;
a slant of light across the windowpane,
a satisfaction from everything your getting.

When the earth is graced by silent wonder,
by the scent of new cut grass;
you inhale its fragrance and forget all others,
you do not let the moment pass.

There are times, like now,
when the bright of day is ending;
when the twilight time draws near,
as the world is tilting...bending.

Welcomed is the peace of evening,
when the daily roar becomes a lull;
when your mind's at quiet even rest,
when your present life is always full.

There are times, like now,
when every little thing seems grand;
when the one you love is close,
and reaches out, to take your hand.

This is a very lovely poem. I like the soft mood of it. I love how you describe the early evening hours...my favorite time of the day.
