The sadness of your camouflaged smile
Do you not realise I see beyond the guise
Tears flowing behind soft eyes
A heart now broken by deception and lies

He is unworthy of the tears you cry
Your heart shattered ~ pierced by his goodbye
One day you will realise
The cruelness of his betrayal

No man is worth such sacrifice ~ what gain
Why torture yourself suffer such pain
To find he had a wife
The cruelest kind of shame

The harm inflicted causing sadness to you both
Safely hidden behind the curtain
Safety is your aim ~ to shield your heart
From anguished shame not of your making

Life is for living
Not sheltering away ~ open your eyes
Let the broken fragments of your heart melt away

Burning fires of love

Re-kindle in its flame ~ a new path awakens
Love will find its way
