The Music Played ~ trijan refrain

In haunting tones a clarinet
just stole my heart away
I heard it on the night we met
and thought of it today
so sensual so calm and sweet
this music made me feel complete
so sensual
so sensual
I knew again that we would meet.

A saxophone played on our date
in the cafe where we dined
I recall i was very late
you laughed and didn’t mind
soft sultry tones then set the pace
you kissed my eyes and stroked my face
soft sultry tones
soft sultry tones
to which we had our first embrace.

Quivering strings weave ecstasy
yet they cry in sorrow too
memories rise inside of me
of my yesterdays and you
violins played the night we danced
seductively we were entranced
violins played
violins played
beneath the moon whilst we romanced.

Such gorgeous poetry and all within a form which is of great credit to you. I adore music and the music theme runs through the poem hauntingly, romantically and passionately and the repeats do great justice as well. This is the first time I have viewed a Trijan refrain and it is a most impressive form indeed to grace your beautiful site Stella.
