In my Reverie

Quietly sitting in my reverie dreaming dreams of yesterday
Wishing I could start again mending all my broken dreams
Seeking truth in everything

Knowing how things could have been lost in the morning sun
Awakening now my soul thinking of things
I should have done

Wondering what life might have been
If only I had foreseen arrows of my path ~ my destiny

The years have flown so fast together with memories of
the past faded now like burning ash

Life is like a turning tide returning we cannot hide
The cruelness of its path decides

There is no time for weeping I trust it’s been put to bed
A heart once filled with sorrow
Flows with love instead

My many dreams were broken for those I paid the price
But now they're just a memory another part of life

I count my many blessings gifts graciously bestowed
Especially my children A special gift from God

Without them
I would truly have been lost

We have walked much the same path in many ways you and i, but each chapter in the book of life teaches us something new and how to gain strength from it until now as the closing chapters begin we can use the learning curves as wisdom..it is just such a shame that our children have to learn for themselves but their decisions will shape their lives.

Thank you again Stella and Karin b- yes like us our children must tread their own path - life and the lessons we learn but we have been
frortunate enough to have reached teder ages and walked paths we never imagined.
