My House

I live in a mansion although I am small
my bedroom is the clock that lives in the hall,
no one ever cleans there and I have made a bed
of pieces from the cushions and carpets I shred.
I dine on only the best of good fayre
from crumbs on the carpet and snacks everywhere,
I’ve been to explore each and every room
but not in the cellar where it’s all damp and gloom.
The stairs are quite wide but also quite steep
once at the top a cat I did meet
now most of the time I live below stairs
I dine in the kitchen on apples and pears.
The servants clean up when I’ve been to the loo
with a thing called a Hoover that sucks up my poo,
this place is perfect for a simple mouse
it’s everything I could want in a rodential house
