Prayers for my fellow men

There I stand head held high
knowing today I could die
bullets pounding by the score
could today be my last chore

Listening to the cries of pain
my heart aches no freedoms gain
my mind seeks shelter
that will not come
within a brain completely numbed

Will today be my last day
fighting men each one to slay
I cannot face another day
blooded bodies around me lay

Is the the end of life for me?
Pray God set me free
lift my soul - give me peace
let me share my home with thee

Pray God what is the gain – from destructive
Bloody War

We all cry out for peace but no one listens

At this time of remembrance every year the families of those lost ask the same question "Why"?

Every year still sees another bloodbath in the name of peace, it is nothing short of disgusting and we are disgrace to humankind, there are no valid excuses it is all born from greed and ignorance..
