Looking Down

Postby Stella » Fri Nov 14, 2014 4:31 pm

Image

What was I doing looking at the floor again
swept in the sad tears of dark shadows,
and yesterday’s cast off dreams.

What was I doing letting my mind slowly seep
into the stream of persuasive anguish
that drown the focus of my heart’s song.

What was I doing when all above me was the sky
shining its beautiful and divine light
waiting for me to turn my face towards it.

Eyes too weary to look up and search for grace
I was head down in my lonely sorrow
looking at the floor again.

What was I doing?

A poem we all need to take on board as sometimes this happens when we least know we are doing it - -looking down only shows us the mud and no sky. An informative read and thank you for posting it dear Stella.

What were you doing indeed, Stella. I think we all have times like these. Food for thought well penned.
