Loving Friends

I'm gathering friends like roses
happy and carefree
I'm gathering friends like roses
Treasured they will be

I'm gathering more roses
a token of love
ebbing their loneliness
at a time of loss

I'm gathering friends like roses
sweet as strawberry wine
I'm gathering friends like roses
grateful they are mine

I'm gathering more roses
loneliness crossed the line
each of you became a friend and
made the world
sublime

This is very sweet and I love the rhythm of the words.

A lovely rhythm Adette and lots of repetition which i like to see in poems, it enhances the main theme beautifully.. :)

Thank you so much Cindy and Stella for such wonderful comments - my head is trying new directions, sadly some I can't win
Must admit this poem out of the blue after treating myself to some roses - you know that thing one does to compensate for
thihgs going wrong.
Sending to Cindy as not certain if this thak you will reach her.
