INHUMAN

Postby Adette » Sat Nov 12, 2016 7:39 pm

Tears hidden like shadowed clouds
Pools upon a darkened land
People walked hand in hand
Massed together in one crowd

Not knowing their awaited fate
The torture beyond its gate
Treacherous evil lies in wait
Poison fires within a grate

Twisted in their mindless deed
No compassion plays its hand
Merciless the ugliness of man
Shame holds no bounds

Young or old dragged along the ground
Mothers scream in terror as children
Are ripped from their arms
The cruelness tears your heart apart

Help them in their hour of need
Take their soul renew its seed
Oh God upon my knees I pray
Give them strength to face this day

Judegement Day

The people they massacred lie in wait
Watching as Justice takes its place
Winds of war ~ tortured souls
The Creed of Hitlers War

Tears may wash a million stones
But never erase the memory
Of the horrors committed ~ in wars

This poem barely touches the surface of the evil Committed in WW11

Almost impossible to comprehend the torture endured.

Two world wars, we remember the fallen heroes today..... their families and loved ones too♥

Such a excellent title with powerful images that make me shiver. The 4th stanza and the last really stood out for me and your poem will stay with me for a long time. May all the people who suffered such cruelty rest in peace Adette!

Thank you Strella and Karin - It is hard to believe that one human being can do this to another it does not bear thinking about.

Excellent poem! The evil things committed during that time in history were unbelievable. I read a lot about the holocaust during ww11. Your poem is very moving.
