My Piano Cries For You Video (Wrapped Refrain Poem)

Don’t break my heart or I shall die
with this dance you lift me sky high.
You twirl me like a carousel
come my Romeo to our spell.
Ballet’s pirouettes try to keep us far apart.
now whirligigs, I’ve lost your face …don’t break my heart.

Show me sweet love of candle light
flicker your face in corners bright.
I’ll glissade and chasse to you
ignore the music and break through.
In this choreography I’ll ask God above
for our eternal pas-de-deux … show me sweet love.

A dying swan is how I feel
and this performance so surreal
Your shrug winds down my carousel
a screech to jolt with your farewell.
As Romeo and Juliet’s we’ll ne’re belong
My piano cries for you, I’m…a dying swan.

Oh Karin, this wrapped refrain is so very beautiful. The refrains that wrap each verse at beginning and end have been placed perfectly and of course what better music than an accompaniment by Ernesto could the whole perfect poem have. I had never heard of or tried this format until you introduced me to it...what a great teacher you are..thank you. :)

Amazing truly wonderful Karin you have a special gift with words the title itself draws you in - the video is perfect setting the right scene for your delightful poetry - loved it read it 3 times - the softness of your words need to be read by many more readers.

Very beautifully written. A great form for such a subject too. A lovely waltz in words.
