Just For You Poetry

I remember when the world was young,
(I suppose that I was younger too);
so different from the world today,
filled with things we never knew.

Some of them are fine and dandy,
some of them repel me too;
some old friends are gone,
it's hard to make one new.

I remember when the world was sweet,
music soft...and dreamy too;
back when love was more together,
when marriage stuck... like glue.

Dreams I had, are now all fading;
when I lost the love of you;
when you died without much notice,
I thought then, that I was through.

I recall just how you held me,
snuggling; shielding me from being blue;
I remember all your shining smiles,
it's but the nights alone I rue.

A sweet bitter memory of the past, nice and meaningful.
