Just For You Poetry

Father give me strength, to face the great unknown,
to conquer all my faults, erasing sins I've sown;
I give my burdens up to You, there more than I can bear,
I put it all into Your hands, for I know that You will care.

Let me smile toward others, put all my frowns away,
let me share my greatest love, to everyone, this day;
give me grace and knowledge, and wisdom to impart,
that comes not only from the mind, but also from the heart.

I will speak Your holy name, and sing you songs of praise,
in this present time and in my future days;
let Your angels guide me, on the road to life,
keep my adversary from me, give me peace, not strife.

Let Your light, be my path, a lamp unto my feet;
let my light stir others, as each one I greet;
when I'm weary, lift me up, make me strong once more,
remove the veil from off my eyes, to see what is in store.

Open up my ears to truth, Your word is blessed to hear,
I fear no mortal man or thing, for You are always near;
let this prayer ring out for all, for those that hear it's voice,
you are offered life or death, it comes down to your choice.
