The Ballerina

Postby Stella » Sat Jan 14, 2017 8:36 pm

Image

The child danced in her make-believe theatre,
she practiced out of sight as the world
slept
a cold bedroom her stage, mute rag dolls
her audience as the night breezes played
their music to willing her to reach
for the stars.

Arching her tiny frame she became the most
graceful swan gliding over a lake of
imagination.
On tiny tip-toes small leaps became great leaps
of faith
and God smiled to himself as he watched her,
he had a plan…. as always

Wonderful evocation of the wonder, innocence and potential of childhood. Just beautiful, Stella!
