You Never Knew

Postby Stella » Fri Feb 17, 2017 5:59 pm

You combed your hair with your fingers
it was something special to you,
I loved the way that you did it
and I don’t think you ever knew.

Your love was honest never false,
you were always the gentle man.
I loved the easy way you dressed,
the other guys always spick and span.

We made love naked in the rain
it was sweet, spontaneous and fun;
laughing about it afterwards
as we lay ‘neath the summer sun.

You combed your hair with your fingers
perhaps it’s something you still do?
I absolutely adored you
and I don’t think you ever knew.

A very special poem for a special person and I love how your first line repeats as the first line in the last stanza thank you Stella!

So gentle the purity of true love and the music matched the mood
loved it - the feeling left me relaxed.
