SOMEWHERE IN TIME

Can I really be me?
leap from
mist’s earthly viewed mood
to bring flipped-rainbow’s swings,
shimmy
bright light’s piercing droplets?

Scale up
rainbow‘s hues of pink Spring
in red jelly’s Summer,
gulp down
autumn’s orange pud’s zest
and winter’s blueberry pie?

Dance on
sky’s edge singing wind’s rise
to dazzle streaming scarfs,
rejoice
with bud's bloomed explosion
in lily’s fireball spin?

Circle
cyclamen’s good-bye burst
and bottle brush’s flame yet,
hold hands
as your wild berry eyes
undress my heart to confess.

You’re mine,
rainbow’s pot of love flows,
our skin seeps youth’s sunrise
to see
we are each others seasons
our vows somewhere in time.

For it
was not into my ear
you whispered but into
my heart,
it was not my lips
you kissed but my soul.
