Where do I end and you begin my love
are we as tranquil petals
on the same flower
dancing blissfully together
on a spring day?
Are we the colours in a glorious rainbow
displaying true beauty
after the storm?
It is when we are apart
that we are inseparable,
each of different minds but the same soul,
unable to define
the fascinating attraction.
We burn within the heat of love’s flame
flickering and rising
in the warmth of its glow.
Your kisses linger
and caress my very heart,
they are as whispers from your life’s breath.
I seek you out in secret, silent thoughts
tender moments
that you cannot see or hear
as I touch you in your dreams when you sleep
Our love rises and swells
as the incoming tide
then, as a stream breaks forth
from a swollen bank
we find relief in the tears
that fall from our eyes,
not tears of sadness, but tears of hope
in the flowing of the stream to the river,
and the river
to the all embracing ocean of our love,
that knows no boundaries
and has no end.
