“Good Morning”

The forest awakens to tingle-touch
kisses of frost on its boughs
and the last leaves of autumn
are so pretty edged in silver lace.

“Look at me, look at me”
sing glistening ripples as they fast flow
in crisp diamante sparkles over the
frozen ravines of ancient hills and
into the valley streams below.

The sky dawns exquisite in her
new pearly gown, and brings
with her a tantalizing breeze
which tickles the white wintry grass
until it quivers beneath playful wings.

“Good morning my winter love,
you are so very beautiful,
thank you for gracing my day”

The opening lines take the reader into this beautiful day perfectly, Stella. Filled with beautiful imagery this is a poem to read over and over. Loved it.

I love this. It's very beautiful. Usually, the last line in a poem sticks out to me. I seem to have a thing for last lines or stanzas, but this time it was the first line. "The forest awakens to tingle-touch" - it really grabbed my attention. It's absolutely perfect.

Like the other poets, your first lines did it for me, and yet there is so much more to adore with such exquisite imagery. Then your closing lines give gracious thanks to winter as she is beautifully personified Stella.

I must agree with the other posts here, Stella, the first 2 lines are very expressive and grabs one's attention. Lovely poem, just lovely.
