The Storm - Haibun

Postby Sandra Martyres » Wed Dec 10, 2014 3:54 am

He sits in his sprawling penthouse overlooking the ocean. A terrible storm has hit the region, with 4 metre tall waves lashing the shore accompanied by gusty winds and heavy rainfall. He wonders when it will be safe for him to leave home and walk the streets again. For the time being that looks like a remote possibility, the roads resemble rivers in spate with water gushing into homes on the ground level.....

come down little bird
I've a feast of worms for you -
chants the wily foxy

Another great Haibun and topical too because the weather is going haywire in so many places. I really like Stella's summation about temptation and wisdom too Sandra.
