A hooked nose - haibun

Postby Sandra Martyres » Wed Dec 10, 2014 8:25 am

She is losing count of the number of visits she has made to beauticians and cosmetic surgeons to get that "perfectly sculpted face" look. She believes that she was born with a disadvantage - a hooked nose. Many a skilful hand has tried to blunt the hook with varying degrees of success, but none has been able to obliterate the birth defect completely. She still carries the burden of an imperfect nose

A passing crow quips to the peacock

if I had your looks -
I'd surely invest
in a mirror

i think vainness is a sort of sin...

Many women spend a fortune on trying to change the face and body that they were born with.. maybe it is a sense of insecurity? A happy soul will love the skin they are in, no matter what.

The crow and the peacock are perfect examples in this wonderful haibun Sandra..
