Cyber Girl

I'm a teen girl living on the wire,
Caught up in a network, dodging thieves and liars.

Engaged to a boy I've never seen,
As long as he's got gigabytes - I'll live my dream!

200 friends that I've never met,
Are they always there for me? You bet!

I venture into FaceTime with just one tap,
Sadly my boyfriend doesn't have the app.

Sometimes people are not what they seem,
A 16 year old boy who was 65 and mean!

Maybe one day I'll get married online
My 200 guests will be there on time

I'll be on FaceTime in my long white dress,
To discover he's a robot, what a mess!

I love the humor and rhyming couplets. Cyber space certainly has its pitfalls and the last line is brilliant thank you Cyber Girl!

A delightful and amusing study of 21st century strangeness. I suppose that in the future, nothing is impossible. If you have a keyboard you can have a cyber life.......Steve likes this (little thumb up) Ha ha

Haha - this raised a loud giggle before I realized the dangers in some cyber-mating - your use of humour is astounding Sye so I'm sure you will never end up like that funny last line describes. A wonderful read.
