Christmas

Postby Tom Balch » Sat Dec 13, 2014 11:01 pm

As busy as the underground
was the superstore today
filled with Christmas shoppers
getting in each other’s way.
Just before the zigzag queue
we stopped to check our list
the over flowing trolley told us both
there was nothing that we missed.
We checked the items one by one
the list it read as follows...

Two bottles of Whiskey
two bottles of Gin
No! Make that three,
a bottle of Port
not for her that´s for me.
Two bottles of sherry
two bottles of Rum
two bottles of Brandy
boy we´re gonna have some fun,
Bacardi and Vodka, Baileys and
Oh! Advocaat for Mum.
Six wine white, six wine red
a couple of bottles of bubbly
thirty six cans of larger
and that should do us all just lovely.

As busy as the underground
was the superstore today
filled with Christmas shoppers
getting in each other’s way.

Bloody Christmas!
we wouldn´t bother
if it weren’t for the kids....

Ha ha that surprise ending made me laugh aloud Tom yet the message in those bottles gives its own warning - - all too often the Christmas season is peppered with too many hot toddies and no time for the kids. A sober reminder my friend.

The twist at the end made me smile too... You sure have been generous in ordering so many bottles of wine, whiskey etc.. So I have to agree with Fay's comment Tom...

Blaming the kids for a booze up is cheeky indeed and what a fantastic array of drinks there are. If you don't drink the Baileys you can send it to down under Australia thanks Tom!
