Still Waters.

Postby Fay Slimm » Mon Dec 15, 2014 12:49 pm

Image

Patterned now with reflected peace,
surface calmed
in an over-drawn veil,
the pool understands illusion needs
a tangible
face to be contained.

No less real, grief-stricken thoughts
have a place
where troubles impinge no longer,
not stirred any more
they lie dormant, like images
held under impulse, for
still water's alchemy changes form.

Which rises again as Pain, altered
by decomposition
to Hope,
mutated by deep and
silent soaking.

Still are the waters which translate,
by capping, hurt's
vocabulary.

A beautiful write Fay.

Still waters are very calming and meditative, also healing for they seem to cleanse us of our troubles and bring new perspective..

A delightful and tranquil piece Fay. The picture and poem compliment perfectly.

A deep and meaningful presentation on peace where I, the grateful reader, rise with hope and peace of mind. The deep and silent soaking really stood out for me thank you Fay.

Hi Fay, and this is, indeed, a most beautiful write that speaks honestly to the whole experience of Life, all that is found in Life, and through both pain and peace, through sorrow and joy, can we know that we progress forward in a direction that is worth traveling toward. Your inimitable writes always touch my heart, Ma’am. God bless you, my friend.

I love the lines "mutated by deep and silent soaking" - perfect image. A deep and soothing poem. And as always, beautiful.
