Performing.

Postby Fay Slimm » Sat Dec 27, 2014 11:13 pm

Image

As morning trembles on the edge of time we
sit on bent grass and wind-dried heather
tracing the coming of dawn.

Like eyes each disc of light assails in-coming
shoreline to scatter shadows in wavelets
as a high tide approaches.

Pulsates now with power to burst forth in
fleeting showers of diamanté shine it bows
to beauty's glorious Source.

I meanwhile find my mind's memory filled
with awe and wish for everyone living this
humbling cliff-top experience.

We all applaud the day's colourful display
of unbroken performance as light's palest
first rays welcome the sun.

Fay, your understanding and writing of those little happenings in nature are a joy to behold which makes one appreciate the nuances one is apt to miss when not paying enough attention. I thank you for this.

I love your description of such a beautiful moment. And so it is also a beautiful poem.
