Heartbeats….

Your heart beats now
only within the pulse of mine,
as you live gently within me
and although your words are silent
I hear you in the voice of my soul.
‘Tis I alone who must tend
the eternal garden of our love,
keeping alive the blossoms
that kissed our days so tenderly.
Savouring in remembrance
the seasons in which we grew,
the freshness of each new dawn
and warmth of each sensuous night.
Keeping you close even now is
like pressing beautiful flowers
between the treasured pages
in my book of memories.

Stella-This has to be as good as a poem of love and remembrance could ever be.The eternal garden of our love is beautiful in metaphoric
