WINTER SHOWS HER FACE

Postby patspoems » Fri Jan 02, 2015 9:00 am

The ground glistens like starlight
Spiders webs hang as gracefully as lace
The birds search in vain for food
As the hedgehogs sleep
Yes Winter once more has shown her face

Logs crackle in the fire
The smell of roasting chestnuts are a joy
Christmas has now passed
A new year soon will start
We pray for peace for every girl and boy

This is certainly the face of winter Pat, and you describe its beauty perfectly .

The new year is a time to have hopes that peace will find its way into every heart..
