Will you still love me?

Postby Nishu » Fri Jan 02, 2015 11:17 am

Today I'm beautiful,
And I have you on your knees,
But when my beauty wanes,
Will you still love me?

Today I'm young,
And passion has her say,
But will you hold me close,
When crimson love grays?

Today I'm alive,
Like a strong summer gale,
But will you care for me,
When I be frail?

Today I smile,
There's laughter in my eyes,
But will you be with me,
When my heart cries?

Will you love me, hold me,
In love's tender kiss,
When my hair turns white,
And my thoughts go a miss?

Will you love me, hug me,
Ever so tight,
Through my brightest morn'..
In my darkest night?

This poem is oh, so beautifully penned from your heart Nishu.

If the answer be "yes" then you have found the one love of a lifetime...

A precious love deepens with time...the gray simply means you are wiser, rich with wisdom and with even being frail the strength it took to hold on to such a love, will not be forgotten. Your smile will be sweeter and remember your partner will have aged too and probably wondering the same questions. Ah, be at peace!

Such a query carries with it the essence of true love, Nishu. Aye, when youth reigns and vigor spills forth so triumphantly, it is easy to answer this query with a resounding, "Yes!". When we find ourselves on the waning side of years gone by, the answer takes on more importance and the criticality of the heart, when flaws begin to blossom, seeks such soothing knowledge. I believe that the years can be made to enhance the twining pair so that the answer, when gray is present and our shoulders begin to stoop, can still be a resounding and joyous, "Yes!", Ma'am. A deepness so delved, in Love, does not yield emptiness, methinks, but brings forth a burgeoning, glorious fullness and a beautiful detailing that can only be found when a couple experiences the passing years together. An altogether beautiful write, my friend.
