Winter’s Chill

Postby Stella » Sun Jan 04, 2015 11:47 am

Image

As midnight shy snowflakes
hushed in silent
whispers
swirl soft in first fall flurry,
tingle-tease breezes carefully
caress.

Ripple fresh pure, white sheets
cover marshmallow pillows
hiding within diamond crusted
coverlets,

and as wind chimes ring
icy clear, echoing
bright and sharp,
night air stings and bites.

Soon, shadows
serenely spill themselves
indigo blue,
beneath ice-cap
freeze.

Precious, quiet moments become
frozen
in the tranquillity of time
where a beautiful innocence
sleeps entwined in the chill of
winter

A bouquet of wonderful imagery on winter which will leave every reader with quiet delight in your portrayal of iced beauty. Thank you Stella for another lovely read.
