Life Is A Poem

There were poems
In the ribbons my mother tied
In my hair when I was a child.

Oh the poem in the frilly white dresses
I wore on Children's Day, Mother's Day, Easter
Ribbons in my hair again, white satin, always.

You should have heard the poem
In the ripple of my father's laugh
In the middle of family and friends.

I could recite a poem for the wonder of our babies, 2,
First cries...each one a melody of rhyme.
Then grand babies, and great grands.

The poem of our love could have won
Blue ribbons in letters you wrote while at war
Far from home - so tall and handsome.

Ah, there is a poem in each breath we take
A poem in each step we take toward another
Tomorrow...and certainly there is a poem
In the wonder of our Heavenly Father's love!

Treasures True!
If we look around us a poem is found...

The joy you present to us through this write is exhilirating, Dorothy. We are alive with words, with such spectacular feelings and experiences...indeed, the Lord is to be given the glory for all that He has bestowed upon us, Ma'am. God bless you.

A first class and very engaging verse dear Dorothy - - poems can be seen by a dreamer in all walks of life - a truly delightful read.

Your poem is so magical. It's great to see life as a poem in the making. Any little moment could be the next masterpiece. That's so magical to me.
