Sundered So

Postby Nightmute » Thu Jan 08, 2015 5:03 pm

You’ve bound me, soundly, within your weave,
wielded iron, edged to reave
the chambers of my heart.
Your knowing smile tears me apart.

In boundless worry, I bleat like sheep,
retreat from sleep,
and, in defeat, I weep.

Can you not know this song I sing?
Within my innards, an incessant sting.

Catch me up and cough me out
whilst plagues upon my body shout
for just one sip of air;
into lungs, depleted, without a care.

You’ve bound me, yes, and knowing this,
my resistance crumbles into bliss
for you.

Mend me, Love, I’m so broken, true.

A beautiful and poignant plea Richard. A most wonderful and lovely poem.. subtle anguish and longing movingly expressed my friend. Very nice.

My heart goes out to you for the pathos you evoke with your pleas in this engaging read Richard. I admire your strong imagery and rhyme
as you do your utmost to reach out your true love. When loved ones work together and give assurances of their love, negativity can be overcome as the door of positivity opens. Take care and God bless you Richard!

Broken, and in need of tender, loving care to heal your heart and soul Richard.

It will come my friend, it will come ..

I enjoyed the rhyming here Richard, and could feel the anguish you portrayed so well..

A wonderful poem. I especially like the lines" You've bound me, yes, and knowing this, / my resistance crumbles into bliss".
