Steadfast

[Stella]

I created for my soul
a safe haven
in which to grow.

The beautiful silence
of contentment is
rippled only by
gentle poetry blessed
in the soft echoes of
enchanting music.

The noise of the outside
does not perturb me now,
it stunted my growth
as a person,
I see it was always shallow
and untruthful.

Here is where I choose
to be, not in solitude
but in the quietness
and in the love
of steadfast hearts.

I like how you differentiate between solitude and quietude, Stella, and it is so true, my friend. Finding such a place where the negativity is nullified and not allowed to gain entrance, and we are given such a wonderful feeling of peace is most divine, and you capture that tranquility perfectly in this write, Ma'am.

Being in a quiet place is one of the best places to be. One can often find their center in quietness. Really, it's the only place to find it. Lovely poem.
