‘Twixt Night and Day

Postby Stella » Mon Jan 12, 2015 8:43 pm

Image

The seconds just before dawn breaks
when night is gathering up her skirts
and folding them back
into the hush of heaven,
when angels kiss the stars goodnight
as they take our prayers before God.
Just in those few seconds
‘twixt night and day
is when I know you have been with me
through the long night as I slept,
holding me close in your embrace,
and leaving me your blessings
for a beautiful sunrise
to grace my new day.

A heavenly beautiful piece of writing with outstanding imagery and I am sure the Angels kissed your star too! These precious few seconds are magical Stella.

This is so beautiful, as has been said already. I love the phrase "gathering up her skirts".

A heart-touching write that provides such hope and serenity, Stella. In this way, we can find the strength needed to face the new day, and to face it with much joy in our hearts. Bravo, this is a gorgeous write, Ma'am.
